Located on the second floor of the Rockefeller Library, the center is a space for members of the Brown community to create new possibilities for advancing research, instruction, learning, and gathering around ideas of racial justice.
The center identifies scholarship, events, research, and conversations across the Brown community and academia addressing racial justice. The resources available within the center explore race-based oppression, discrimination, policy, and the activism and efforts to confront them across disciplines. We offer this space to deepen knowledge and engage in the work of cultivating an environment in which every person is treated with dignity and respect.
The Racial Justice Resource Center Committee is composed of staff representing multiple library departments, levels, and demographics who bring diverse perspectives and expertise to steward the mission of the Racial Justice Resource Center.
